GAME INFORMATION

YAR! is an splitscreen multiplayer game about pirates on their ship in the middle of a storm. The goal for each player is to fall off the ship least amount of times as possible, however, The players are met with increasingly difficult challenges.
The waves get bigger over time, and it becomes harder to stay balanced – even the cannon starts rolling around the deck, and everyone starts bumping into eachother.

THE TWIST

The waves get bigger over time, but you can also manipulate the wave height based on microphone input. This allows for fun moments where everyone could be yelling to each other, resulting in the waves getting even bigger, or an 5th person playing can sabotage the rest by talking into the microphone.

MY ROLE

My role within the project was to create the ocean shader and mechanics, so the boat and the props would interact with the water surface, and the waves would get manipulated by the microphone.
